It’s not really lobster but you’ll think you are eating it with this rich, buttery fish recipe. Monkfish has a “meaty” flesh that is very similar to lobster which is why it makes it good substitute (at a fraction of the price).
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound monkfish filets
- 1 cup butter, melted
- salt and pepper, to taste
- paprika
- parsley sprigs
- lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Place the monkfish fillets in a shallow baking dish. Evenly drizzle half of the butter over the fish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika as desired.
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes, basting occasionally with the butter from the pan.
- When the fish is done (it should flake easily with a fork), remove from the oven. Garnish it with parsley and serve with lemon wedges and the remaining melted butter for dipping.
